Thank you very much fleet for the campaign on environmental protection. In fact i have just resining on the national radio we are starting a week of environment protection campaign.
In Rwanda for the last three years when they avoided the plastic bags i was among the many asking why? But know in Rwanda no one can keep or carry the plastic bag but now their is an opportunity for investors a business of the bags.
Thanks i am going to forward this massage to others i know.

plastic bags are very harmful to our environment since thy do not decompose they drain the land and make it unproductive. in Uganda we have had several situations of flooding especially in urban places and this has been due to the fact that the water drains are broked by the plastic bags that are deposed in these drains and this has resulted into loss of property, and lives of people. the Government put a barn of the production of these materials but this law remained in vain. people in developing countries should be more concerned of their environment and try to live it a little better than we found it. what ever we do to our environment we do it to our selves. we need to exercise proper waste management and disposable skills and save our selves from the dangers of plastic bags.

There are some encouraging movements on this topic - notably, California is currently considering a plastic bag ban. I'd gladly support such a ban in all states. They seem to be having some fun with the idea too: http://bagmonster.blogspot.com/
